Photograph planning - Preliminary

For my front cover I am planning on a main image to dominant the page with no other added images around. The photograph will be taken outside the schools entrance with a student in uniform posing.
The photograph will be taken in direct mode of address to show the intelligence of the student, for example for the main image to be looking straight at the camera represents how focused in learning this student is and this is the impression I want the magazine to give.

In my magazine I will also include a low angle shot of some teachers, this shows their power and authority in the school which I would like to portray in the magazine.

Another shot I would like to take is a top lit image of a handful of sixth-formers to show youthfulness to give the impression they are young and enjoying sixth form. I want the small group to represent the whole sixth-form and their for be very professional and sleek.

The last image I have in mind is a view side on shots of people playing basket ball, singing in the recording studio, walking down the stairs etc. and to be posed for. I want them realistic and believable showing a small incite to what happens inside the school. This shot to me is catching someone of guard so it is perfect for what I want.

  1. Some excellent ideas - for your real construction please also develop a plan with costumes and locations etc but this is a GREAT first go.
