Contents page Content

Contents page:

I will have a smaller version of the masthead along with the title"contents" in a banner at the top of the page.

Next to this will be my second image, the full length shot, to add colour and difference to this side of the page.

Underneath this I will have two subheadings: REGULARS & FEATURES
This allows me to split up the regular articles like "top 40, look books, gigs" from the features like "BROOKE IS BACK".

I will also have two more larger picture, one being my female model singing and the other being the front cover stars.

I will add a pug as an entertainment value for my magazine, "win FREE Stormzy tickets".

Titles for magazine

I thought of three possible titles:

M.I.B  (Made in Britian)
I like this because my magazine is about artists up and coming or discovered in Britain, it is about british artists and grime music.

M.O.B  (Music over b*tches)
Money over bitches is a term used in slang, changing the money to 'music' makes it related to music in a cool 'slang' way. This not only appeals to my target audience because it is terms they use however it is a good play on words.

Central
'Central' sounds as if the music the magazine is talking about and promoting is from a place central to everything, with a little bit of everyones culture and music taste mixed in. Not just one specific genre. I liked the idea of thinking the music was coming from one place, one mind and not all separated into different genres.

I asked my class mates their opinions:

4/8 = M.I.B
4/8 = M.O.B

I have decided to go with M.I.B as I like how the "made in Britian" really stands for what the magazine is representing, young artists making something out of nothing. Literally making a life for themselves in Britain.

Photo plan

FRONT COVER

Where?
For my front cover I have chosen for my models to stand against a white wall, at first my plan was to have them standing in front of brick wall however this would be harder to work with on photoshop so I settled with a plain white background. I have a white all in my house I have chosen to use.

Who?
The models are my friends Sharna, Eliza and Ruffel. I wanted to have my main image to be more then one person to switch things up. They have agreed and are more then happy to help. As my magazine is aimed at people their age I thought this would be a great idea as the magazine would appeal to the audience.

Costume/Props?
For the models costumes I have chosen they will be dressed trendy and not overly 'bling' or 'gangster', I want to stick to my theme of simplicity as much as possible. I have also chosen to break conventions and have the girls covered up and dressed decently. I haven't thought of any obvious props I need except maybe bandannas or hats as part of their costume.

Pose?
I want all three models to be looking straight into the camera and next to each other however as their are three of them and the double page spread is about getting to know them a bit more I want each model to be in a different pose (and costume) allowing their personalitys to show by the way they are standing/smiling.

When?
As there are three models it can be hard to get them all in the same place at the right time so we decided to make thing easier we would create a group chat on Whatsapp which allows us to al talk together at the same time this way we could plan when, where and what time to meet. We decided on December the 5/6th to take our front cover/double page spread pictures.

CONTENTS

Where?
On my contents page I have three different photos, the first photo I will have of a model in fashionable 'girly' clothing in front of a brick wall or in a studio to link with one of the sell lines however this shot will be a close up. Another picture is a full length shot of a model in a different location, in front of a tower block/London estate. The last picture is another photograph taken from the double page spread taken out side on a street. I want all the locations to be different so my magazine is not repetitive.

Who?
For my first picture I needed a female model possibly in a studio singing so I asked my friend however she is not reliable so if she isn't able to do it on the day of the pictures I myself will stand in and be the model. For the next photo I wanted a male, for this I asked my good friend Josh who said he may not be free so I decided I would have a few back up plans including my friends Ahmed or Kadeem. My last picture will  be taken from my double page spread photographs with the same models as the first time Sharna, Eliza and Ruffel as I want it to be a taster of the spread.

Costume/props?
For the first picture I want to female dressed pretty and sweet, stereotypically "girly" as the magazine is already quite edgy and masculine I wanted to add a touch of femininity. I will need a mic as a prop and the background either a studio or brick wall. The second picture I want the model dressed in typical "tumblr" clothing, black jeans, timberlands, crop top and bomber jacket. The last picture will have no props and different clothing to the first pictures of them so things aren't repetitive.

Pose?
The first picture will not be posed for I want it to be taken mid song as if the model was actually singing the song, this brings the musical vibe back to the magazine. The second photo I want the shot to be a high angle shot with the model dominating the picture, the pose will be with their arms crossed looking down at the camera. The last picture is the three models all talking and laughing.

When?
I will take this pictures over the next month.

DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD

Where?
I only have two pictures on my double page spread, as I want my spread split into two (one page article, one page photo) I needed two photos a large main image for the one page photo and a smaller image for the article page. The back ground will be a London street, not a very busy London street something a bit more gritty and street so I decided on Somers town. My second photo will also be taken on a street in Somers Town however the background will not be that important as the main shot is their faces.

Who?
My double page spread will again be the same models as my front cover as they are the "front cover stars".

Costume?
For the double page spread they will all be dressed individually how there personality's are, the whole point of the article is to get to knew them so by dressing them in what they would usually where is a perfect way of doing that. Eliza will wear high waisted jeans with a crop top and hurraches, Ruffel will wear a red tracksuit and Sharna will wear a sports sweater with jeans and airmax.

Pose?
The larger image I will have the three models walking down the street, talking and laughing. It will be a high angle shot. The second photo will be a close up of the models at direct mode of address with slight smiles majority serious faces as a change from all the smiley, happy pictures.

When?
I have decided over the next month however this week we are meeting so we will take one trial test shots to see what works and what doesn't, if they turn out good enough I may use them on my cover.
